Technos Japan Co. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Technos”) will recognize the legal & social responsibilities as a global company who handles the personal information. Technos will make sure that all executive staff and workers will strive to protect personal information appropriately based on the following policy.

1. Technos will fulfill the legal obligations faithfully subject to Private Information Protection Law (hereinafter referred to “Law”), Regulations, Acts, and the guidelines of Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare Ministry and State Minister in charge, in order to handle personal information appropriately under the principle of respecting individual character

“Personal Information” is the Information related to the existing individuals, which can distinguish the specific individual, stipulated in the Article 2 Item 1 of the Law. In addition, according to the guidelines of Health, Labour and Welfare Ministry (hereinafter referred to “Guidelines”), it is stated that “in case of the information related to the decedent is also the information related to the existing individuals such as bereaved family, it is regarded as the one related to the aforementioned existing individuals.” And the below is also dealt in the same manner.
2. Technos will handle the personal information within the utilization purpose only after obtaining an approval of the identical person except for the case that is to be handled as an exception based on the Acts, by specifying the utilization as much as possible and announcing officially in the company beforehand.

Meanwhile, Technos announces the utilization purpose of the personal information in the company that is considered necessary in a general way according to the guidelines. And in case of no specific indication of intention for objection/suspension from the identical person, the relative information is to be handled accordingly, duly agreed to be used. (The definition of Agreement by the identical person follows the same.) The agreement and suspension is to be modified by proposal of the identical person later or at any time.

The Identical Person is the individual who is to be identified by the personal information, as under.

3. Technos will obtain personal information in appropriate measures, and will officially announce the utilization purpose in the company beforehand, except for the case handled as an exception by the Acts, or will give notice to the identical person immediately after the receipt, announcing officially. However, if the identical person responds in writing, the utilization purpose will be officially announced in the company beforehand.

4. To enable to achieve the utilization purpose to provide the appropriate Nursing Care services, Technos will take necessary & proper measures and supervise workers and assignors in order to accurately maintain personal data updated.

The Personal Data is the personal information that constitutes the personal information database etc (Article 2 Item 2 of the Law) stipulated in Article 2 Item 4, as below.

5. Technos will not provide personal information to the third party without the agreement of the identical person for the utilization purpose, which will be officially announced in the company beforehand, in order to provide the Nursing Care service to the users, except for the case handled as an exception by the Acts.

6. Technos will respond for disclosure, amendment and discontinuation etc of utilization of personal data that Technos holds, by proposal of the identical person, subject to the Acts. The Personal Date that Technos holds is the data stipulated in Article 5 Item 5 of the Law.

7. Technos will work on complaints in an expeditious and adequate way from the identical person for the personal information. Therefore, Technos will strive to develop internal structure.

8. With reference to personal information, Technos will strive to continuously improve such protection policy by conducting the internal audit.
